How To Make Cannabis Oil
Commercial edible manufactures will use distillate primarily to avoid the bad taste of burnt chlorophyll that is present with extractions done in the non commercial private kitchens. This is the Old School recipe for Canna Oil.
First decarboxylate your cannabis in an oven for 50 minutes at 250 degrees. Higher tempertures will destroy the THC. If you don’t do it the conversion of THCA to THC does not occur except haphazardly with any baking.
After decaroxylation you place your chopped cannabis buds, approximately 1 ounce product to cups of oil. My preference is a 50:50 mixture of vegetable oil to coconut oil, but avocado is also good. This can then be placed in a crockpot and cooked on low overnight. The oild mist be stirred every 2 hours as the THC has a tendency to collect to the top with terpene evaporation also. I find the extraction rate is about 40-50% of all cannabinoids present in your product.
A nifty device I also recommend is the Magic Butter Machine which will automatically extract and produce your product at the right temperature and time
